PM Prachanda in New Delhi for Indian PM Modi's swearing-in ceremony

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' arrived in New Delhi, India this afternoon to attend the swearing-in ceremony of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

PM Prachanda was received by a special representative from the Indian government upon his arrival at the Indira Gandhi International Airport, according to the Indian Ministry of External Affairs.

Modi, the leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), is set to take oath for his third consecutive term as India's Prime Minister later this evening.

The Nepali Embassy in New Delhi has informed that PM Prachanda is scheduled to meet his Indian counterpart Modi after the swearing-in ceremony.

Accompanying PM Prachanda are his personal secretary Ganga Dahal, Law Minister Padam Giri, Foreign Secretary Seva Lamsal, and other senior government officials.

PM Prachanda is expected to return home on Monday after concluding his official engagements in the Indian capital.

The visit holds significance for Nepal-India relations as the two neighbors aim to further strengthen bilateral ties across various sectors under the new Indian regime led by PM Modi.
