Protesters Demand Protection for Nepali Soldiers in Russian Army

Protesters gathered on the streets of Kathmandu Monday, pressing for stronger security measures for Nepali people serving in the Russian Army.

On Monday morning, bereaved families gathered in front of Singha Durbar to share their feelings at the loss of loved ones or the uncertainty caused by their absence.

During the event, law enforcement agents captured over a dozen people, including Kritu Bhandari, an advocate for the welfare of civilians enlisted in the Russian Army, for protesting in a restricted location.

The demonstrators urged to authorities for the return of missing individuals and those serving in the army, underlining the need to pay proper compensation to the families of those who have lost their lives.
