Nepal A Restricts Ireland A to 157 With Kamalsingh Airey's Hat-Trick in One-Day Practice Match

With a hat-trick from Nepalese fast bowler Kamalsingh Airey, Ireland A has set a modest goal of 158 runs for Nepal A in the first one-day practice match.

After winning the toss at the Trivi Cricket Ground, Ireland A batted first and were all out for 157 runs in 38.3 overs.

Cade Carmichael of Ireland A scored 51 runs from 77 balls, including four fours. Neil Rock scored 39 runs off 32 balls, including two fours and three sixes.

Opening batsmen James McCullum and Stephen Doheny were out for 12/12 runs. Peter Moore scored 21 runs.

None of Ireland A's batsmen could put up a significant innings against Nepal's bowling. Nepal's Kamalsingh Airy grabbed 4 wickets for 21 runs in 6.3 overs, including a maiden.

Kamal completed a hat-trick after bowling Liam McCarthy at deep midwicket for two runs on the first ball of the 39th over, Mathew Humphreys on the second, and Ben White on the third ball.

Kamal, who returned to the team after an injury in 2022, played admirably in ODIs following T20. Mausam Dhakal and Sahab Alam both got two wickets, while Rijan Dhakal claimed one.
